Notes:

Staff Development:

ELA: Hope to adopt in April 2025. Not sure of the supports need. They have a process.  Examination of Schuyler data. Vision for instruction with teachers. They have a PK-12 curriculum committee (everyone 6-12, and a few from each grade level k-5). Developing a rubric. Possible to create a timeline this summer? Koliha and Dave will create a plan on April 19th of this year.  Will do this work on PD days already scheduled.

Instructional Strategies Marzano: Probably not going to continue with APL. Marzano overview day on August 5. They plan to send teachers. Teachers understanding of priorities (focus on strategies)  has been handled through the CIP team. Jump off and lay groundwork so everyone starts with the same baseline. Coming from a blended model, Admin team will meet and come up with next step based on the single model (Marzano) .

MTSS: Continued Support. Different schools at different places. Starting with district plans: Start with the idea around current plans and decision rules. Need to update tools for data-based decision making. Start as a district, then each level (buildings) A team is coming to ESU7 March 5, 2024, so that may influence their plan. Getting the sub-committee back together to be systematic in getting the plan. High School level- honing in on that, and then finding a schedule that works has been challenging. HS wants time for Kendra to brainstorm something they can implement.

MS: Wants to tie the MTSS process into their planning due to designation. Will set up a meeting next week with Mark and Kendra to create a plan.

Elem:

Marzano- targets— effective targets and want to kick off the year with it. Admin team needs to create their schedule.

Reading- continuing to work with Koliha. Admin needs to create the plan

EL Strategies- Admin team needs to create the plan

Piloting IXL and Edmentum and how to collect data.

Heather Bebout: After March meeting will have a better sense of how to move forward.

Computer/Tech: Goals to meet computer law requirement: Need support to meet it K-5. NDE is saying that in the K-8 arena it is up to the schools to determine how they will meet that 5 areas. (Digital citizenship, password protection, keyboarding- lots of options) Otis has a presentation ready to go if they would like that for staff.

CTE: Brandy has done outstanding work so far this semester. Schuyler is getting to a point that opportunity is there for students. Then want to move it down to MS level.

HS wants continued support. Want more completes. Many of their students go into careers that are aligned to CTE. Want to schedule dates for next year, and will do it once the rest of the schedule settles.

CIP- Mark offered to meet CIP meetings and asked for dates to be sent to him. Some decisions need to be made, but they aren’t ready to move forward with those.

Coaching. August 9th. Otis will do a Google calendar and let them select times.
